Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 16, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Meshli ("Meshli," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Meshli iOS application and related services (together, the "Service"). It applies to everyone who uses Meshli.

Meshli is a networking application that helps you build a personal connection graph and understand how the people in your network relate to one another. Because that is the core purpose of the app, this policy pays particular attention to how connection and relationship data is handled.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information in order to operate Meshli.

Account Information

When you create a Meshli account, we collect your first name, last name, username, email address, and a password. Your password is stored in hashed form; we do not store it as plain text.

You may optionally add a profile photo and a short bio, which can appear on your public profile within the app.

Network and Connection Information

Meshli's core function is to help you understand your network, so processing connection data is central to the Service. We process information about the connections you form with other Meshli users, including the connection type you assign (for example, Friend, Colleague, Family, or Acquaintance), pending connection requests, and blocked users.

This connection data is used to generate your relationship graph and to power features such as discovering mutual connections and finding intermediate connections between people in your network. We do not treat this relationship data as our own property — it exists to provide the networking features you use Meshli for.

User-Generated Information

Beyond your profile bio and photo, user-generated information in Meshli is largely limited to the connections and connection requests you create. Meshli does not currently include public posts, messaging, or comment features.

Purchase and Subscription Information

Meshli Premium is sold exclusively through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes payment and handles your billing details directly — Meshli never receives your full payment card number or other complete payment credentials.

We use RevenueCat, a subscription management platform, to determine and keep track of your subscription status (for example, whether you currently have an active Premium entitlement, and whether it is a monthly or yearly plan). RevenueCat receives information from Apple necessary to manage entitlements on our behalf.

Device and Technical Information

Like most apps, Meshli's backend infrastructure processes standard technical information generated by your use of the Service — such as request metadata, IP address, app version, and general device information — for purposes like maintaining security, diagnosing problems, and operating the API that powers the app.

If push notifications are enabled on your device (for example, to notify you of a new connection request), Meshli's backend may use Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service, to deliver that notification to your device.

Developer note: Meshli does not currently bundle a dedicated analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the mobile app. If one is added in the future, this section and the Third-Party Services section below should be updated accordingly before release.

Third-Party Services

Meshli relies on a small number of service providers to operate. Each processes information according to its own privacy practices, in addition to any instructions we provide:

  • Apple — App Store distribution, In-App Purchase billing, and (where enabled) push notification delivery.
  • RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management for Meshli Premium.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — delivery infrastructure for push notifications, where applicable.
  • Image hosting infrastructure — used to store and serve profile photos you choose to upload.
  • Transactional email infrastructure — used to send account emails such as email verification and password reset messages.

We do not use these providers for advertising, and we do not use third-party behavioral advertising or tracking SDKs in Meshli. For details on how these providers themselves handle information, see their own privacy policies:

How Information Is Used

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Meshli app and your account
  • Generate and maintain your connection graph, including mutual and intermediate connection features
  • Manage Meshli Premium entitlements and subscription status
  • Secure the Service, including preventing abuse and unauthorized access
  • Diagnose technical issues and maintain the stability of the app and backend
  • Respond to support requests you send us

We do not use your information for advertising or for behavioral tracking, and we do not currently have such purposes built into the Service.

Data Sharing

We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With the service providers described above (such as Apple, RevenueCat, and our hosting, image, and email infrastructure providers), solely to operate the Service
  • With other Meshli users, to the extent you choose to share it — for example, your public profile information and the fact that you are connected to someone are visible to relevant users as part of the app's networking features
  • Where required to comply with a legal obligation, such as a valid legal process
  • Where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of Meshli, our users, or the public, including to investigate fraud or abuse
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy continuing to apply to your information

Meshli does not sell your personal information.

Data Retention

We retain your account and connection information for as long as your account is active, so that we can provide the Service to you. If you delete your account, we take steps to delete your profile and connection data as described in the Account and Data Deletion section below.

We may retain limited information for a longer period where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or protect against fraud and abuse.

Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your Meshli account and its associated profile, connections, and connection requests directly from within the app, at any time, without contacting support. Deletion requires confirming your account password, and it is permanent.

For step-by-step instructions and important details about what deletion does and does not affect (including your Apple subscription), see our Account Deletion page.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information we process, such as storing passwords in hashed form and securing our infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Meshli is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

International Processing

Meshli's service providers and infrastructure may process information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where this occurs, we rely on our service providers to maintain appropriate safeguards for that information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Meshli or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
